Wayne: The most common problem is, it's a 30 year old tractor, you'll have to check out every single component from grill to 3 point hitch. To single out TA, you are only kidding yourself, there are numerous components on that tractor that could cost every bit as much as TA to rebuild.
It could be a very good tractor if it's been well maintained. It could also have 25,000 hours on it, not uncommon with these big tractors. If it requires a complete rebuild that could cost $25,000. You might tinker it up for less, but don't expect it to be a high production 150 hp tractor.
