David: I parked my posterior in the seat of a Farmall for the first time in 1948, and have been around them ever since. In the 1970s and 80s had 9 working tractors on the go, and we did work them hard, my Farmall 300 is now on it's 6th set of pistons and sleeves. I can tell you that in the case of a gasser Farmall, unless the engine is worn completely out, there are only two reasons why they don't go or work well; proper gasoline flow and proper firing at the right time.
You came on here the other day giving us symptoms in winter weather conditions in your area, and the fact that this occured quite suddenly. Naturally our first suggestion was ice, and as I recall, the suggestion you were given was try the methyl hydrate as a first step.
Now your looking for help from someone smarter than yourself, that is exactly who you deserve.
