Dale, I feel your pain! I bought a tractor with a known bad 4 speed and just now found the parts that are bad. Like you, I thought that only one gear was buggered up, but oh no!!
However, in my searches, I bought a very nice 5 speed with Live PTO that was going to replace the 4 speed. My 4 speed has a Sherman hi/lo, so I held off making the swap. Also, I don't need the live PTO as it is an industrial tractor loader backhoe and originally didn't even have a PTO.
I have the whole deal. Everything needed to install it, trans, flywheel, double clutch and output coupler. I completely stripped the (outside) of the trans down to bare metal, primed and painted Ford blue. I also replaced the shift detent plungers to ensure that it shifts crisply and stays in gear. Now that the 4 speed is going to be repaired, the 5 speed is up for sale, whole deal $1000.
I have photos of the trans in primer and fresh painted, the gears and the new/old plungers side by side and can send them if you are interested.
