I just bought a 1981 Ford 540 Loader w/ backhoe attached. It needs some engine work (rod knock.) It has the PTO and 3 point hitch hook-up, although it is missing the two bottom arms since they are removed to put on the backhoe. I purchased it sight unseen aside from pictures. No need to go into that okay? It has 2600 hours on the tach. My question, assuming the engine is repaired with no problems, what is this critter worth with the loader and backhoe attachment? It is Yellow (faded) and all parts appear to be in good condition. I am trying to retire from the military in two years, and may be putting the cart before the horse, but I'm starting to accumulate. . . nest. . . .whatever you want to call it. Also, now that I have a backhoe/tractor, I am buying a trailer to haul it . . . etc. Does it ever end? Don't answer that, I already know the answer!
