I had similar problems and ended up replacing or cleaning both hydralic filters under the lift cover. they both were in bad shape. after the cleaning/replacement my lift worked again and even holds pressure and stop hiccuping. by the way if you open the lift cove you will need new gasket and o rings. you must remove the pto lever and pto shaft to replace the bottom filter.
