My service manual for my '77 model says they were made from 1975 thru July 1981. The unit number will tell you the year. First number is the year and the letter following is the month of manufacture. 5=1975, 6=-1976, etc. and A=January, B=February, etc.. My unit number is 7J28B. Made in September 1977.
