I own a '57 Ford 850 and have purchased a used pto driven tiller for it.
Should the three point hitch "push" down? I can put the draft control lever pointing up, horizontal or pointing down but I don't see any difference.
When I lower the tiller, it drops to the ground but I see no indication that the three point hitch is applying any downward pressure.
I usually have the draft control lever in the horizontal position but I can pull it to a vertical position or push it so it is pointing straight down. I don't see any difference in any of the positions.
Is this normal? What should I see?
Do you think something is broken?
What might I check?
Thanks,
Paul Ward
