The same thing happened with my 71 Model 3000 Diesel. Sadly I failed to identify the problem until after almost completely overhauling the entire system. Best recommendation, get a good service manual, a oring kit from New Holland and then conduct a complete open and inspection of the lift cover and sump. Mine turned out to be the hydraulic pump suction strainer blocked with years of dirt and crud, resulting in starving the pump. Tricky getting it out. Take your time and make sure to clean the sump area. Good luck!!
