We are trying to replace the dog and the dog pin the right drive wheel of our 256 rake. When we changed the left wheel, all we had to do was pull the cotter pin from behind the hub, replace the parts and put it back together. However, when we tried to replace the dog in the right wheel, the cotter pin was placed with the head down toward the axle spindle and there isn't enough room to get it out. We tried to take the axle spindle out, so that we can replace the dog, but we can't figure out how to get it off. (we can't find any pins holding everything together, but we can't get anything to budge). Any and all help will be greatly appreciated in letting us know how to fix this problem. Thank you.
