First thing I would check is the battery. Disconnect one cable and see if the battery holds a charge.
Check in the dark - are the background nightlights illuminated on the gauges??
Are you taking power for the gauges from the switch, so that it is shut off during idle periods?
Start disconnecting one gauge at a time and give each connection a time check to see if it is the source of drainage of the battery.
