Dave O, did you take the distributor out completely and re-install? or just move it around while still in place? Even if just moved around, there is a possibility that it is way off the proper timing and won't start. If it was removed and re-installed, that could also be the no start problem. I still lean to the engine timing gear. They do break, but rarely.
