Robert S. Davis Hello,
Based on your information that you have a 5000 Super Major.
The Fordson Super Major was built from 1961-1964. The 5000 Super Major was re-badged in late 1962.
Your serial number will not start with a letter -C- since this is an English built tractor.
Your tractor serial number will start with an 08A, 08B, 08C or an 08D corresponding to the 1961-1964 year.
Your tractor serial number is stamped on the engine cylinder block next to the number 1 cylinder on the right hand side above the push rod cover.
Your Engine Serial Number is on the left side of the flywheel housing.
Let us know if you find them.
Be safe.
