The serial number, model number and production date code are stamped on the top surface of the upper implement mounting pad at the front of the transmission. The Super Major designation was only used from mid-1964 onward for a couple of years. From then on it was simply the 5000. If the date code starts with a 5 its a '65, a 6 makes it a 66. The ser no starts with C its US built. The model will be 51xxx as it is an All Purpose tractor.
