Dave,if the engine is fine, it sounds like the o-rings on your clutch pistons are due, if they are worn oil will simply go by them and in doing so will not put pressure on the clutch plates, hence you lose power. The warmer your fluid is in the transmission the thinner it becomes and in turn you lose more power.
