Is it safe to flush out a tractor hydraulic system with diesel fuel? I've heard some people say they do it this way. My concern is that all of the diesel wouldn't drain out and it would dilute your new hydraulic oil. Would you have to take your lines loose and blow them out? Also would it hurt your pump while your letting it circulate through the system. I just drained the hydraulic fluid from my Ford 1710 and it had a lot of sludge from the two rear drain plug holes.(Improper maintenance from previous owner)I want to make sure it is all out before putting in new filter and fluid.
Thank you
