The fan belt broke in my Ford 550. Is it necessary to remove the hydraulic pump, etc to install a new belt? If I disconnect the shaft and universal joint from the connection plate aft of the universal joint will the shaft slide forward the ½” necessary to get the belt through? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated
