Here is an update on my SOS trans work.
I got the trans totally disassembled on Saturday so I could replace the #1 brake band.
I seperated it between the trans and the rear end.
It went good and only took about 3 or 4 hours.
Someone had been in there before me to try to fix some damage. I was not impressed with there skills. Looks like a hammer and grinder were the only tools they had. They left out at least 2 thrust washers. I got a used band and ordered gaskets and thrust washers. The direct drive clutch is kind of chewed/beat up. Im thinking of replacing it if I can find one in my price range. Anyone out there want to let one go at a fair price? Part number C7NN7C108L Thanks and I'll post again when I get it back together.
