Hi, one of my customers has ,against my advice, bought a sh engine to go in his ford 6610 tractor, the original seems to be siezed or worse.
Problem is its not an identical engine, inlet manifold, injectors and pipes are the newer type and wont swop, engine will go but misses noticably, and i can only swop injector pump ( i think ) as this is suspect.
Here is the prob, how do i tell what the new engine was from ? and what pump timing should be , if pump is fittable ?
Any advice gladly listened to, but methinks i will end up rebuilding original engine !!
Thanks, Bill.
