Still pleading with anyone out there having experience with this type transmission to lend their expertise---the F/R lever will not engage at all. Parked it after using it one day--was fine. Came out next morning--does not work at all. Fluid appeared milky-thinking water in the mix, changed fluid and filter. Nothing helped. Really don't want to separate the tractor; asking for any suggestions out there. Linkage is fine; tried to shift it after disconnecting linkage from level on dash--NOTHING! I have to believe this is something simple. Can I get to the internal linkage by removing the cover that attaches the steering gears over the trans? The service manual is about as clear as mud.
Any and all help appreciated!!!!
