The problem with running the pistons agains the block, is what happens when the block wears? They did this alot years ago with the old 8n and 9n tractors to get more power. But when you need to rebuild, who's going to sell you pistons and rings for a block that has no sleeves, and now needs to be bored oversized into the block? Use the sleeves. I would suggest just leave the sleeves in and bore it to the oversized pistons and you won't need to replace the sleeves.
