if it's still there, there's a decal under the liftable side of the hood. it will have several sets of numbers. the model # tells all the charactoristics of the tractor and the UNIT # tells the day, month, year, and shift it was made. if the decal is no good, the same numbers are permantly stamped into the bell housing where the starter bolts up. write back with with those numbers, or take them to a dealer, and you'll know the year.
