I have a 1994 D3C series III, serial # 6SL00348, that we replaced the Forward/Reverse cable about a year ago. The mechanic accidently removed the 1st/2nd/3rd gear cable by mistake but put it back on. Seems like since then, every once in a while the machine would not move when you put it in the forward gears. if you put it back into reverse and then back to forward, it would then engage, or if you don't go back to reverse and just leave it in forward it will engage in about four seconds. This might occur once or twice a day but, now (1000 hrs later)it happens a lot, especially after a hour or two of work. once it engages, it is at full power and no slipage.
Does this sound like it could be a linkage adjustment problem and possibly related to the cable replacement? or is it something else?
Thanks.
