Pull both handles to the front of the tractor and turn your diesel engine backwards alittle. this useally gets the pinion to pop out(at least thats what mine does) and then start the pony engine. If the pinion grinds when you try to ingauge it the pony clutch is stuck and you will have to remove it and take it apart to clean it. Mine did this acouple of times. It was getting water in it and rusting. Causing the clutches to stick.
