We had the same problem with our 2T. The pinion lever ended up being broken. We had tp take all the clutch assembely off and connecting the pinion lever. You can start the D4 by tow starting it. We used a D6 7U to do it. If you look in the operator manual it has instuctions on starting clutch ajustment.
