I had a pony engine seize up 8 - 10 years ago, so I started push starting my D7 with a payloader. This last month I had a head gasket leaking oil on the diesel so we pulled the heads and put new head gaskets in it and when we had it apart I decided to pull the pony engine's head and see if there was any hope for it. I sprayed a product called OPEN & SHUT on top of the pistons and around the valves both in the ports and around the stems. I mean it was all stuck and froze. I took a 3x2 block about 20 inches long and started cracking the top of the pistons from one to the other in about 10 hits they poped loose, then I started on the valves. Once they moved that was all it took and I grabbed the crank and started rolling it over and 5 to 6 revolutions and the valves started closing on there own and I was home free. As I kept rolling it over and spraying it down with that OPEN & SHUT the rust polished off the cylinder walls I MEAN it looks good! I don't usually say to much about different products because I heard others brag up some and haven't been impressed with them when I use them BUT I will say this product really impressed me and my mechanic, he even admitted too that he hadn't see a product that worked like that before. I purchase it from my LAWSON distrbutor I think its made by DRUMMOND.
