BTW, did all D8H come with gear driven generator charging systems? Were there ever any D8Hs with belt-driven alternators?
I seem to remember our now-sold D8K had an alternator. I would think their engines are similar enough that a D8K alternator could be converted to work in an H? Or are there any other ways to convert the H to alternator charging if the generator doesnt work?
