Do you still have the 1/2 valve stems and guides? they changed in the d342 to a 3/8 stem and guides, and you have to be real picky when installing the guides, even reaming them afterwards.
were the valves in that cylinder replaced and did you put in new seats? possible your valve are protuding to far down into the cylinder and hitting the piston top. one other thing the inlet and exhaust valves are real close in size, possible they were put in the wrong port?
