catmech, Thanks ill email them and see if they can help. It seems as some people are selective to whome they give advice on this forum so questions go unanswered. This is sad because it is hard enough to get answers out of caterpiller so people give up and make mistakes with repairs or send good old machines off to scrap not being able to repair them without putting them into a workshop and spending a load of $, and lets face it who is going to spend say $10,000 fixing a fifty plus year old dozer. Without help a lot more old iron will go to China as scrap!!!!! AND getting info in Australia is hard enough as it is and i have a scrap dealer 20mins down the road, SO I HOPE ALL THE PEOPLE WITH THE KNOWLAGE CAN SEE WHAT I AM SAYING. I will help anyone i can if i know the answer if it saves them spending more than they need to or their machine being melted into a pushbike.
Thanks
DS
