went and looked at and d17000 in the yard, single heads per cylinder. the oil line is one per head. Did you pull the valve cover and see if the rocker shaft is getting oil. those old engines like d13000s and others build up debrie in the rocker shaft behind the freeze plugs and can break loose and plug the holes that lead to the rocker arms. when I rebuild engines, I pull the plugs out of the shafts and clean the inner bore of the shaft, then put new plugs back in. Some of the old crankshafts had snap rings that held the freeze plugs in the oil galley holes of the crankshaft, they would build up debrie behind them as well. hope this helps.
