Note around 1988 Cat started heavily phasing in a reman program--and they elevated individual parts prices on assys they wanted customers to purchase as reman complete--one of the first were magnetos--we used to build em but had to stop cause they individual parts would massivley outrpice the reman assy--just in case that might be relevant for you.(a lot of em were comin in Bosch--maybe aftermarket possible too, cheaper) Also, meant to mention Stilson goes at right angle to--not around--crank pulley--so can use approx 12in stilson, let me know how it goes
