Have found in book that pony does have clutch W/ 6 brass & 6 steel disc, believe this is whats dragging down 8HP Briggs against stuck main eng.
flywheel.Thanks for idea of turning main eng.thru pulleys.Will try that 1st before going thru trouble of pulling front to get to crank.Do
beleive pinion still working but no evidence main
turning.Also beleive compression release OK. You've givin me hope that maybe an assy.is stuck.
Will ck. all.As for fixing pony 1st.CAT wanted $142 just for a mag cap, hate to guess how much for whole mag.Steel to build my aux pony perch only $59 and seems to work so far.Will pursue repairing pony or convert to electric if I can
get/know main engine will crank up. Thanx The Dude
