Sorry about the three postings! The reason was for typo.s Level is really LEVER. Most early Caterpillar dozer's never were manufactured with cat units. These were made by Garwood. Cat in the early 50's came out with first front mounted Units that were very dangerous, mainly mounted on 46A D8H, and 34A D9,s. both with fuel oil converters. The D7M and D7 3T were very close in manufacturing. The Rear mounted Units were the only option with these two D7's. I have operated and worked these early machines since 1960 and still have the manuals and track wrenches that came with them when these machines were new.
