I have a D4 7U43662 electric start, made about 1960. I'm trying to clear land with it for my own agri. use, but it's power is very low as to be barely usable, won't even pull itself up a hill without stopping to let the engine speed up every few feet. I've replaced piston sleeves and rings (due to pitted sleeves) and replaced fuel injectors. New filters. Fuel flow is fine to the injector pump, so I'm supposing something to do with the fuel injector pump may be the problem. I tried putting an electric fuel pump from an EFI car in the fuel line but it made no difference. I would love some ideas on what to do to get the power up to normal.
if i need a pump rebuild where can i get parts and info?
Thanks. RT
