Hi Tim
I have a friend that has a D6B Cat Dozer. His pump is also bad. If yours is like ours it is a gear pump, and if this is true probably the best thing to do is get a new pump. Ours is GONE !!!!!!!!!! As far as removal of the pump you should be able to remove the grille and easly remove the pump.
