I have a friend with a D7C 17A the previous owner installed a turbo charger on the engine. The motor ran for about 500 hours then the pistons Melted. Had the engine rebuilt and we want to put the turbo back on. My question is what should the Boost be and where should we set the fuel flow on the injection pump. I know that they did not come with a turbo, but this one has one and if we know where to set the fuel and the Boost it should run fine with it. This the only site I have found that even talks about these old dozers. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
