Thanks to all who responded all information was a great help. I welded three tabs on the sprocket ring 120 degrees apart and drilled 1/2 inch holes in the other end. I put the ring in place and drilled the 1/2 inch holes through the original spokes. I fastened it with 1/4 inch bolts and fender washers. This allowed me to safely make adjustments and shim the runout and also run the tractor to check the sprocket before welding.
Thanks,
Joe
