ok,,,,,here is what happened,,,it started right up with the glow plugs,,didn't need ether (don't like using it anyway),,has been sitting for about 8 months,,same batteries too,,I was impressed..bucket raised and lowered,,tipped to and fro,,a little groaning and creaking but that was expected,,engine running smoothly,,no hydraulic fluid spewing out anywhere..went to engage tranny,,no go,,the son in law says "hmmm,,was fine when we parked it,,maybe it stuck from sitting" stops machine,,restarts machine in gear,, moves foward with it,,clutches ,,stops shifts to reverse,,it shifts but you have to wait till the gears mesh,,they grind a little till it meshes,,Can that be adjusted out??,,is it from lack of use?? or is it a sign of expensive trouble?? I think it is 1 or 2..what do you guys think? the guy also spoke of the shear pin again,,says it is out and he can't fit his fat short arms in enough to get to it,,and that machine will move fine till it heats up.what's that about,,,any input welcome,,thanks,,kevin
