I take your going to install just the sprocket ring on the sprocket itself. I would suggest bevel all edges before welding and tack in place. Use a string to line up the rest of your undercarriage, ie:.. front carrier roller to front ldler. Tack all around to prevent any twist when you get it inline with front roller and Idler. I would use 7018 rod. Maybe if you can, run your string on the bottom half , inline with bottom rollers and front idler, before welding solid.
