Yes, I did install new rings Brewster. You just have to gently work them over the pistons and be carefull not to expand them too far or allow the ultra sharp edges to gouge the piston. I did hone the old liners (Cat said you couldn't) and I also had one cylinder not seal properly. The hone scratch cuts the rings to allow them to seat. I've only got about 20 hours on the engine and I am really hoping it would just break in on that cylinder, but it hasn't yet. Mine too is #3 cylinder.
