as the camshaft or crankshaft gear is installed the timing marks C must be aligned.as the timing gear housing is installed align the timing mark M on the magneto drive gear with the mark M on crankshaft gear.The timing mark can be seen by removing the plug and looking the hole.I hope that can help you I take that in my service manual.
