Dwight: You're right, that shaft should slide out the back of the shuttle. Shuttle won't come apart because of idler gear on the bottom. Could the needle bearing inside the rear housing on the shuttle be melted to the output shaft? Looks like you are going to have to get dirty with it. What would happen if you put a wedge between the housings to hold it apart and got 2 large prybars down through the top and tried to pry it ahead. Done lots of those old girls myself and have never had one seize there. Let us know what happens.
