First of all let me say THANK YOU. I did what you suggested on the pump, the #1 plunger was not up to the top so I checked the timing again and the marks all lined up, so I think back to what you said about the plunger had to be up fully. I removed the idler gear, turned the crank 1/2 round to tdc put it back, and guess what it fired off and ran on all four. I don't know how this engine ran on 2 cyl. but it did. I guess at one point of time before I traded for it, someone had jacked with the pump. Sometimes when u don't know the history it can be a real headache. Again let me say thank you for your help.
