Best bet for the tools is the local fuel injection shop,a one off job I would use them to do the rebuild as they will have all the tools, phasing and calibration equipment,to remove the pump a plate directly in front of it on the rad side of the timing cover has to be removed and the gears that drive the pump brought round till the timing match marks line up,then undo the nut on the pump shaft that secures the drive gear,a puller may be needed to break the taper, disconnect all the controls and fuel lines, undo the pump mounting nuts and the pump will lift off,the pump drive gear is best kept in mesh to avoid having to line anything up,the engine must not be turned so take the ground lead off the battery.
