The parts drawing shows that back two pipes are crossed, #4 cylinder connects to #3 on the pump and #3 cyl to #4 unusual but not unheard of,if thats the original pump from that engine and the camshaft has not been changed the manual you have is correct,try it and see how you fair out,it may take a minute to clear.
