A lot of air brake systems rely on automatic moister drainers which are fine when they are working correctly,sometimes they block up with curd of oil and moister and when that happens it ends up in the valves and start to cake up,you should be able to get any o'rings you need at a hydraulic shop,the main problem you could encounter is to get the valve dismantled,you could have a look at the auto drainer too,maybe take it off to see if the reservoir is empty,let the air out first.
