Hello
We finally got the 580c backhoe to start. The start button would crank the engine sometimes, but mostly it would just click the new starter solenoid (maybe poor wires or connections). Anyway with a little ether it started, but died. I had drained most of the old fuel from the tank at the water trap drain and added fresh fuel, however I inadvertly closed the fuel shut-off valve, so I guess it ran the fuel out of the line and filters. It wouldn't start again. I took the bleed valve plug out of the top fuel filter and poured a ounce or so of fuel in and replaced the plug. It run for 10 seconds. I'm very glad it runs but I probably got ail in the system. Any advise?
The seller got the loader bucket up by lifting it with another loader and bleeding a broken hydraulic cylinder line (He said it probably pulled a vacuum)
Thanks again for all of your advise.
