Swing the hoe to the left looking out the back window, look at the bottom of the top pin that secures the backhoe to the tower, there is a cam plate that has a lever with a roller running against it,that lever is connected to the swing sequence control valve, should the valve come loose or out of adjustment it can cause your problem, check first that the valve is tight, then try adjusting the lever, you got to slacken two bolts where the lever pivots to allow it to move, slacken the lock nut on the adjusting screw, screw it in one turn, and test it to see if its better or worse,if worse go the other way,if better get it the way you would like it,count the number of turns you make in case it has no effect and put it back where it was, there is a relief valve in the sequence valve bank, seldom they give trouble but you will need to remove it if you have no luck with the adjustment,if you have a manual look it up,there is a Case parts look up on line but if I put any of the link here my reply will be deleted, good old workhorse the 580SK,were a lot of them here in the UK used for utility work, the hoses around the swing tower needed to be kept in their place.
Good luck
AJ
