I have come across the symptoms you are having several times with the Borg Warner shuttle and I'm sorry to say its bad news,the ones I have delt with had broke a disc in the forward clutch pack,the broken disk got wedged in between the other discs in the pack and that caused it to be engaged when in neutral,when you select reverse the foward clutch won't let go resulting the same as a manual drive would be in two gears at once,there is nothing you can do with that box in the machine,you will have to have it out and tear it down,If you don't have a manual I have a digital manual for the box should you need it let me know and I will email you a copy of it.
