Don't know a thing about ag tractors as I'm in construction machinery but as a rule of thumb a single line like you have is for use with a single acting cylinder like a tipping trailer,it needs pressure to put it up but it comes down under gravity,go over to the David Brown tractor site and they will advise you on what you need to do,you have to register to post but its quick easy and free.
