I just had the same problem on my case 430 1964. I split the tractor in half at the torque tube and removed the reverse shuttle gear unit. Inside of it there is a synchronizer unit. This has 3 locator dentents that fell out and got mangled along with the blockng ring teeth are chewed up. I am currently in search of a new synchronizer unit. Note: before I split the tractor in two I removed the bAttery and front-most top cover where the reverse shifting lever comes out to see the synchronizer damage. If anyone knows where I can get a new synchronizer unit for the shuttle gear unit please let me know.
